Sharing Your Campaign on Social Media

Once your Campaign is live, it can be shared on social media. Each campaign also has a sharing sidebar where supporters can share your Campaign directly to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest. The sidebar also gives you an embed code or URL to share on your website, blog, Instagram bio, etc.

Choosing Your Social Media Platforms

All social platforms are not created equal—each platform has its unique set of uses and capabilities. When it comes to deciding which accounts to use to promote your fundraising, consider your audience and the best use of each network. For instance, Twitter is best used as a newsfeed to reach your audience in real-time, while Instagram is a great way to tell your story. And while you may not have considered sharing your Campaign on Pinterest, the added benefit of sharing on Pinterest is that it makes your Campaign searchable in Google and makes it rank higher in search results. How to Share Your Campaign on Instagram

Instagram doesn't currently offer a sharing widget, which is why it isn't included in the Campaign sharing sidebar. Instead, Instagram is designed for sharing original content. You can upload photos, videos, or screenshots directly to your Instagram Feed or Instagram Story to promote your cause. Hyperlinking is available in your Instagram bio, so you can include your Campaign URL there. Sharing original content along with a call-to-action statement is a powerful way to share your mission and direct your supporters to your Campaign and generate support by encouraging people to reshare your posts.
