Flipcause Webhook Integration


Webhooks are automated messages sent from apps when something happens.

A webhook allows the automated sending of data from one application to another in real-time. Any time there is a triggering event in your originating program (such as Flipcause), it will send an instruction to your receiving program to take a certain action, such as creating a new record. This is called a "push" of data.

Each receiving application has its unique "webhook URL," which is the app's address where data is sent or pushed.

We provide services designed to help you with setting up and maintaining the software connection with our chosen iPaaS platform Intergromat.

There are 3 ways to set up integration between Flipcause and email marketers:

  1. Only those who are on or are signing up to be on the mailing list have their information and will pass through the integration. They go to the same list and are generally treated exactly the same
  2. All contacts and their information are passed through the integration, and all contacts go to the same audiences, lists, or groups and have the same statuses.
  3. All Contacts and their information are passed through the integration, but they can be added to different audiences, lists, or groups and have different statuses depending on whether they are subscribers or not.

You can set up webhooks on Flipcause for two types of triggering actions:

  1. A new transaction is created on Flipcause (both on your campaign pages and those entered manually by an admin at your org).

  2. A new contact is created on Flipcause (both via transactions on campaign pages, transactions entered manually by your admin, or contacts added manually to your contact database).

Either or both of these triggering actions can be instructed to push this new data to any program that works with Intergromat, such as Mailchimp, MailerLite, Quickbooks, Constant Contact, etc. You can find the full list of apps integrated with Intergromat here.

For example, you can set up a webhook that creates a new contact on your Mailchimp email list every time a new contact is created on Flipcause. You'll be able to choose what audience it adds them to and how it deals with existing groups in your Mailchimp audiences. Just like importing a CSV of new contacts into Mailchimp, you'll be able to map the fields in your CSV file to the fields in your Mailchimp audience, such as phone number and address information. You'll also be able to choose what tag to apply to all new contacts created in your Mailchimp from this workflow, or "scenario."

Another common example is setting up a webhook that creates a new sales receipt in your QuickBooks every time there is new activity on Flipcause.


As of now, we are only able to provide support and assistance for several email marketing platforms. However, we always welcome feedback on the software your organization currently uses, and we aim to connect with as many software platforms available in Intergromat as possible in the near future!
